Outdoor Newborn Locations

Thanks again for considering me as your outdoor newborn photographer.

As we discussed on the phone, when and where I recommend we do these sessions depend on multiple things, including the season, expected weather and locations that offer light that meets my specific lighting formula. Most clients that choose me love the light and airy feel to my images - they all have that due to the light I use. While I am always looking for new locations, I do have my favorites and vary base on time of day and time of year that I shoot.

This page is just to give you an idea of what I have done as some locations. If you have questions about my recommendations for your newborn's location, please feel free to ask.

First three week of October: Dodge Park

For my purposes, I consider fall when the trees have color. I can usually find some color the first week of October, but obviously I can never guarantee anything. But I usually have good luck find some color as early as the first week at Dodge Park, and as October progresses the opportunities there just get better. Below are images from Dodge Park in October.

Late October: Grosse Pointe Area

Once the leaves are gone at Dodge Park, I like to move closer to Lake St Clair. For some reason it seems as thought the leaves stay on tree longer here. I have done fall sessions as late as the first week of November in the Grosse Pointe Area. Below are images from around the Grosse Pointes. I like to show samples of family sessions as well, because newborn session often also include some family images.
