A peak into my 2019 winter sessions
I have said it before, and I will say it again, while I am not lover of the cold winters here in Metro Detroit, I do love the snow! I especially love winter photography sessions. There is just something about the soft pinkish light of winter that no matter how cold it is outside, gets me excited to be outside letting my fingertips go numb photographing babies and children.
I really believe no childhood is complete without building snowmen, throwing snowballs, and yes eating snow (white snow, of course), and no photo collection in complete without images from every season of the year, including winter! Nearly every parent who has hired me for a winter session has commented that the idea never occurred to them until they saw one of my winter images. Snow and children equal magic, and little bundled up infants sitting in the snow, they are just way too cute!
I am 99% sure winter in southeast Michigan is done, I hope! But join my email list so that next fall you get a reminder that my winter are open for booking. Each year more people book me for an outdoor winter sessions, and I really hope to continue capturing these fun childhood times for parents to remember forever. And for those of you who dislike the cold as much as me...you would be shocked at how quick these sessions are!
I have a few spots that I love to use in winter. A couple of them require permits and a handful of days to organize, and the way it would snow one day then rain the next made it impossible to use those spots. But one of my favorite winter spots, which is in Grosse Pointe Farms worked perfectly this winter.
