Welcome to the World Mia Rose | Grosse Pointe Farms Michigan | Newborn Photography

One of my favorite Metro Detroit locations for an outdoor newborn photo shoots is the Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores. Why? There is pretty light everywhere, regardless of the weather. Anyone who has worked with me, will tell you I am all about the light!

The fun thing about the Ford House grounds is they are forever changing with the season- my favorite spots change month to month. Usually I avoid the rose garden, not because it is not lovely - it is stunning! But when I am there for a newborn session it is often filled with harsh light, not the kind of light I like to use. But the morning I was there to photograph Mia Rose, it was pretty cloudy and the light in the rose garden was stunning...the perfect setting for a newborn girl's photo session.

Little Mia arrived awake but sleepy, after being wrapped up nice and tight she fell fast asleep, as long as we left her hands out by her chin. Seriously, she was a dream to photograph, and it shows in her photos!
