Photo Contest | Metro Detroit Baby Photographer
I do not always admit this, but no matter how long I am photographer or how many babies or families I photograph, I am always nervous when delivering images. Making my clients happy is so important to me, that my stomach is literally in knots when I hand over that stack of prints for them to view...every single time! So it is no surprise that entering photo contests is not really my thing.
This year, I decided to put my discomfort and nervousness aside and enter a contest. I figured, worse scenario is I enter, no one votes for me and I never tell anyone about it.
The contest I entered had over 1.1 Million photos - crazy! I truly did not think I would get past even a few rounds with so many other talented photographers from around the world. But I did! All the photos I entered were recent photos of babies taken in Metro Detroit...and out of the 11 photos I entered all of them made it past the first round, and six of them earned a ranking! Thank you to all my clients in Grosse Pointe and Metro Detroit for entrusting me to document what matters most to you - the arrival of newborn, the development of your baby and the growth of your family. I am truly honored to be a part of preserving your memories.
