Detroit White Studio Newborn Session

Well, I am officially horrible at keeping up with blog posts! It is April and I have yet to post anything - there goes that New Year's resolution. Oh well.

This beautiful little baby girl was photographed back in January. Since my favorite work are outdoor newborns and I photograph them three seasons, I do not have my own dedicated studio space in Metro Detroit, so I rent space. One of my favorite places to rent in this all white studio. It has beautiful natural light and I love the wainscotting walls - yes those are real, and not a backdrop. I do bring in my own "floors" so they match the feel of what I want to create.

The only downside to this studio is there is a pretty bad draft from the door and windows, so naked baby shots are not possible as it is just not possible to keep the baby warm enough. However, I love wrapped babes and cute little knit outfits and the family shots I get here are beautiful and timeless, so it really works for me and what the type of photos I like to create.
